A note on Sophie’s approach to one on one work
The lens of understanding and perspective that I bring to you during our time together is one based on not only my business experience in working within motherhood-support but the skills and perspective honed through my work as a sociologist.
This means that while I can provide you direct answers and responses when it comes to tangible outcomes and practicalities that you may need support with, potency comes not through the provision of information, but the proposing of powerful questions.
The advice and support I offer comes with an awareness of socioeconomic diversity, the tangible challenges of needing strategy to be effective to move your business forwards, and the complexities of what it means to exist and live within a patriarchal and capitalist society.
I resist rhetoric that associates achievement with working ourselves to depletion and ignoring our needs to meet external markers of success. My approach, advice and support is nuanced and considers the overlapping and often competing demands that many of us navigate as mothers while working within motherhood-support ourselves.
